ZywOo remains the sport’s most reliable superstar, capable of taking over a series even when the team’s structure breaks down, while apEX’s calling has matured into a dangerous mix of aggression and patience. The addition of ropz gave Vitality another elite lurker and clutch player, and the team’s mid-round decision-making is often a step ahead of everyone else.

What makes Vitality so frightening ahead of a Major is not just their firepower. It is their ability to adapt. In best-of-one opening matches, they can play fast and explosive. When their communication and mid-round calling are sharp, they look like a team capable of lifting a Major trophy.

Team Spirit offer a different kind of threat. They are powered by donk, one of the most explosive young riflers in CS2 history, and supported by sh1ro’s steady AWPing, chopper’s leadership, magixx’s utility work, and zont1x’s anchoring. Spirit can overwhelm opponents with pure aggression, but they have also learned to play slower, more controlled Counter-Strike when the situation demands it. Their weakness has sometimes been consistency against elite opposition, especially when donk is contained or when their economy collapses early. Still, in a Major format, Spirit’s high-pressure style can snowball quickly. If they find rhythm in the group stage, they are one of the few teams with the firepower to outduel Vitality in a playoff series.

The MongolZ and Falcons Are Rewriting the Contender Script

The MongolZ have become one of the most compelling stories in CS2. Once viewed as a dangerous underdog, they now enter Majors as legitimate contenders. With bLitz leading, 910 on the AWP, and Techno, mzinho, and Senzu providing speed and aggression, The MongolZ play a fearless brand of Counter-Strike that can destabilize more structured teams. Their teamwork is exceptional, and their ability to coordinate fast-paced executes makes them especially dangerous on maps like ancient, mirage, and anubis. The question for The MongolZ is no longer whether they can compete with the best; it is whether they can close out deep playoff series when the pressure rises and the margin for error disappears.

Falcons represent the opposite path to contention: star power assembled at great expense. With NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, kyxsan, and Magisk, Falcons have one of the most decorated and mechanically gifted rosters in the world. NiKo remains an elite rifler and mid-round playmaker, while m0NESY gives them a world-class AWP that can swing entire maps. On paper, Falcons should be a nightmare for any opponent. In practice, their challenge has been chemistry, role balance, and consistency. Superteams often need time to turn individual quality into collective trust. If Falcons finally solve those issues before the Major, they could transform from a scary draw into a genuine title favorite. If not, their star power may again be undone by teams with clearer identities.

NAVI, G2, and FaZe Must Solve Their Own Puzzles

NAVI, G2, and FaZe all enter the next Major cycle with something to prove. NAVI’s system remains one of the most respected in Counter-Strike. Aleksib’s calling, b1t’s rifling, jL’s impact, iM’s aggression, and w0nderful’s AWPing give them a balanced core capable of deep runs. However, NAVI have sometimes lacked the explosive ceiling of Vitality or Spirit. They win through discipline, map preparation, and coordinated teamplay, which is exactly what Major playoffs reward. If w0nderful finds his best form and NAVI avoid slow starts, they can beat anyone in a best-of-three.

G2 are a different puzzle. After major roster changes, they are still searching for the right balance between individual freedom and team structure. huNter- remains a veteran presence, and the team’s young talent can pop off on any given day, but G2’s inconsistency has been costly. They need their AWP situation and mid-round calling to stabilize before the Major, or they risk another tournament defined by one brilliant map followed by a frustrating collapse. FaZe, meanwhile, rely on karrigan’s experience, rain’s aggressive entries, broky’s AWPing, and frozen’s consistency.
